In all Palazzo Leopoldo’s rooms you can breath the rich and powerful atmosphere that characterized the history of this ancient manor house, testified by the fine terracotta floor, by the big fireplaces made of serena stone, by the tapestries, by the original terracotta stoves, by the inscriptions stating the presence of illustrious guests of the past, as for example, Granduca Leopoldo of Tuscany.
After the careful renovation, that transformed Palazzo Leopoldo in a charming hotel, also furnishings and the rooms facings had been accurately chosen in order to save the residence style, suffice is to say that many furnitures and furnishings are the same ones which the important Minucci family had chosen to adorn Palazzo Leopoldo. In many rooms, for example, it’s possible to find the ancient trunks and the travelling hatboxes, original writing-desks and lavatoriespier-glasses and closets of that period.
The carefulness in preserving the magic atmosphere of Palazzo Leopoldo did not mean to neglect the carefulness towards the modern comforts, which the contemporary guests awaits for in a so high quality structure how Palazzo Leopoldo is. All the typolgy of rooms are provided of the followings comforts: hydromassage showers, air conditioning, heatings, minibar.
The top class of Palazzo Leopoldo is the Suite Umberto, so called in rimembrance of the stay of king of Italy Umberto II. The Suite Umberto is an elegant room of 60 s.m., with a huge living room, where there is a kitchenette with fridge, electric cookers and dishes at guests’ disposal. The Suite Umberto has, moreover, a huge private balcony with table, chairs and 2 comfortable chaise longue, a fireplace and a desk from 19° century, finely chased.
In order to spend a romantic holiday it’s possible to stay in the exclusive Suite with baldachined bed, ceiling with the beams showing and fine terracotta floor. From the bedroom of this peculiar Suite, moreover, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Chianti hills. Palazzo Leopoldo is also glad to host, in its spacious rooms, families and groups of friends, by offering assistance and support to the particular needs they can have.
